Maeda Aki is a Japanese actress born in Tokyo. Her agency is Alpha Agency. She graduated from Hosei University Faculty of International Cultural Studies.

In 1992, she was scouted while eating with her mother at a hamburger restaurant. She made her debut in the same year with a Takara Mu TV commercial. In 1994, she made her first appearance on the TV program "Appare-san Madai Sensei." The same year, she made her drama debut in the drama "Heart's S Dai 1 Yoru Dai 2-wa: Cinderella no Okan".

In 1999, she debuted as a solo singer with the song "Gomen ne." In 2000, she made her first appearance as a voice actress in the animated movie "The Boy Who Saw the Wind". She appeared in the film "Battle Royale", released in the same year, winning the 24th Japan Academy Award for Newcomer Actor for the same work.

In 2004, she graduated from Sakuramibayashi High School and entered the Faculty of International Cultural Studies at Hosei University. In 2005, she studied abroad in Boston, USA, as part of her curriculum. While she was in university, she continued to work as an actress but prioritized her studies. She graduated in 2008.
