road to kingdom first season is better in literally EVERY aspects. songs, groups, performances, production, voting method, EVERYTHING. that's all i have to say, really. just watch it if you like any of the groups, otherwise it's not worth it of your time. or even better, maybe just watch their performances on youtube.

Nice "In-Game"-story that landed between two chairs

This is a nice and sweet “In-Game”-story with good actors.
Sadly, the storyline seemed a bit wavering in being an investigative or a love-brain story, so it ended up landing between two chairs.
I can’t say I particularly liked this lecherous/sometimes headless/intrusive FL who didn’t really put to use her modern day skills and who seemed more interested in nailing this oblivious/clever ML rather than solving the cases. Not to mention that FL seemed quite a bit older than ML (although she really isn't), giving me "a Wolf staring at a Sheep"-feeling more than once. I know they went for a more realistic modern day woman versus ancient man, but they just overdid a bit.
The Game-arc worked very well and the Game-master was a brilliant touch (cute kid).
Well, it’s a nice watch.

Adorable

I really enjoyed it. Very sweet, funny, romantic, wild, and so much more. Even had bad stuff (kidnapping, murder, etc.) so kind of all over the place with lots of variety. Sure it was unrealistic, but sometimes you need those dramas. Cast was awesome.
I really enjoyed it. Didn't think I would like it just from the goofy title it had. HAHA.
I always rate low on rewatch since I don't rewatch series (have too many to watch to rewatch any). HAHA

First Costume Drama- start here

Game changer! Congratulations to the team

I'll be honest I reallllly don't like shows that dress up but.. I decide to try to watch my first drama. I am so happy the this was my first one. The chemistry, romance, comedy, moments of it all makes me want to watch a lot more. This is the first time that I didn't skip over everybody's story line. I actually love them all. If you this is your first Coldplay drama this is a good place to start

The true meaning of Home

Let me just preface this review by saying if you're here for the comedy, obviously you're in for a treat. And even if you aren't, you're in for a treat. The amount of levels in this show is actually astounding because I came from hilarity and chaos, but somehow ended up crying into a packet of tissues every episode. An incredible story, amazing characters, good character development, this show had it all!

Where do I even start then? The story? Brilliance. I absolutely love the dynamics of unconventional team coming together due to "circumstances", it's one of my favorite friendship tropes, and you put together four distinctly unique characters in a comedy - horror setting, and it's like you've already struck gold. This was one step ahead, adding emotion to the anthologies and gradually building up the backstories of the leads until it gets to the point where all of it just makes sense. All the plot twists, even the one I predicted, managed to surprise me because of how they were executed, rather than relying on just the simple shock factor. This is the kind of story that gets better and better every episode and when you're done with the finale all you can think is wow.

Now add to this incredible characters you can't help but love from the minute they're on screen. They need their character development but it says something about the writing when you're able to root for the leads even when they're supposed to be horrible people. Watching them grow into themselves and become good, interesting people was a highlight in a show where even the supporting characters were charismatic.

Like I mentioned, most of the series was on an episodic format, and the backstories of the leads were slowly revealed, but anthologies within a structured series can be hit and miss. Might be the first time they all hit just right for me. Each story was equally exciting and emotional on it's own, but getting to watch the leads get closer as a team and become actual friends by helping these people was the cherry on top.

Another thing I loved: the friendships, relationships, all of it. In the anthologies, with Home and his family, Peach and Pang Pang, the ghost hunting gang, and literally everyone with Pi Suradech. I could write an essay on how incredible Pi Suradech is but that's for another time. Just the way they all stood by each other through everything (which I mean, it's a spoiler, but they way they did even when..), it's one of my absolute favorite things to watch in a drama. Strangers becoming family.

And finally, how can I not talk about them? Tay and New. You can see how well they actually gel together because even in the scenes where they're supposed to be sworn enemies, it feels like they've been friends for years. Which actually played well into the story because Home and Peach are honestly soulmates and you can't convince me otherwise. Even the characters knew it!

This is an endless list of positives, and as much as I would like to say there's something negative, I don't think there is one. Maybe I'm biased but I just loved it so much, I even love the OST! And that's what I categorise as.. a perfect 10.

Just ok

The writer gave a good effort with the twist in the story I guess, but this drama could have been way better. The last 4 episodes seemed unnecessary and had serious lack of excitement. The couple's chemistry was either frosty or cringey at times. The secondary characters were simply put, background noise to fill space. What I liked the most were the ost and the ML's acting.

Finally an original story line!

Shen Yue does everything, drama and comedy on the same story. I’m loving it! The whole cast is amazing. wow China what a production! Hollywood Lear from it. Nothing corny or predictable, Yen Yue and Lin Yi have such a great chemistry and result is high quality product. I highly recommended if you want something new and you want to be thorny entertain. the director did a fantastic job developing the characters. the photography is amazing. everything has been I tentionally done. I appreciate the time invested to present such production. Shen Yue is amazing, she captures the character beautifully and the result is a very human character not a cartoon or unrelatable one, Gu Yi is a dear girl that you’ll be cheering for her and Liang as well. Mote productions like this please. it makes you think, analyzed, laugh and wish the best for all the character.

a good revenge story

having a second chance to change your path and your life choices, and for the better. how amazing it will be if we all can do that right? with realistic situations, friends like Soo Min do exist in real life and it can be less severe but still..while yes they shoudnt be called a friend but you know there is those type of people who are close to you pretending that they care about you but they are just jealous and wanting to drain your happiness, the plot is interesting, and i loved the chemistry btw the mls, the only thing i disliked is the appearance of O Yu Ra, her character was not only so annoying but the acting was poor and her appearance made the show wilder (about the events) but thankfully its just the few last eps, in general i loved it

From the cinematography to the actors, everything was a "yes" for me.

"Moonlight Chicken" is currently my favorite show. From the cinematography to the actors, everything was a "yes" for me.
I saw a lot of people mentioning how Heart and Ming steal the show—a comment I can understand but definitely don't agree with (though I respect their point of view, of course).

That said, I think one thing that might not be to everyone's liking is that the series takes its time. Many facets of everyday life are covered; it feels like I was living with them. It’s a show that reflects the daily lives of a large proportion of viewers and is not fast-paced as a result.

I'm not someone with a lot of experience in love, yet I was still deeply touched by the different aspects of relationships portrayed by P'Aof and the actors, to the point where I lost count of how many times I cried as if I myself had experienced these situations. It was so realistic and refreshing to see being gay in one's thirties or forties portrayed on screen, especially as a poor character. Earth did an amazing job, as did Mix; it was pleasant and interesting to see their relationship evolve as they learned to let go of past relationships to be able to move forward.

Ming and Heart were the cutest part of the show, with an adorable dynamic. I loved how everyone in the series became more mature by the end, not just the young characters.

First and Khaotung did amazing as well. I felt so bad for Alan throughout the show. I understood everyone's position and way of thinking, which made the confrontation scenes even more relevant. Gaipa was a ray of sunshine who made me ugly-cry as if I was the one in pain. Not to mention the beautiful color palette the series uses !

In conclusion: I love MC !

one of the best kdramas

this is one of the best kdramas for real, the urge to bing watch was high, it has been ages since i have done any review but i thought a show like this needs reviews, first the story is really interesting it kept me excited to check what will happen in the next eps, the only thing id say i was not interested in is the romance part, but it does make sense why its included ,because love is the reason why things took different path so it had to be included for certain things about the plot , id not say more to avoid spoilers
i also loved the ending and found it interesting, tbh i think this role really suit Park Shin Hye very well, it feels like the show is made for her and this is her best drama

Watch it if you like wasting your time

I know you have to have a strong suspension of disbelief when watching k-dramas, but the plot-holes were too much to ignore.

1. What was the point of creating and designing multiple traps to get into the vault while on the other side there is just a freaking door with a key? What is the point for the traps, and for whom.
Also the villain could nor enter the vault because he does not have the key to the door? Lmao.

2. Why tf would the villain kill the sister and then go through all the trouble to hire an actor and deepfake shit? Wouldn't it be easier to just keep her alive and use that as a real leverage.

3. In almost all crime dramas there is one guy (usually a college kid) who can hack into everything, but that women seemingly made all the cool gadgets by herself. Tony Stark wants to know her address.

4. The main villain was borderline comical. They made the male lead a bumbling idiot. The acting was subpar, with poorly written lines. Overall seemed like they were on a low budget. There are better dramas to watch in this genre, don't bother.

Episode 10 was fire! Baby!

Watched on GagaOOLala.

What was good about the series.
Episode 1 through 7 had a very unique storyline and good tension building. Episode 10 was absolutely fabulous.

What was bad about the series.
The plot twist in episodes 8 and 9 ruined the whole vibe. Its a good interesting storyline. The male leads and supporting cast were super sexy and entertaining. Why ruin it with a stupid unnecessary plot twist.

Episode 10 should have been episode 8 then you could have had two more episodes to explore a wonderful relationship.

Unfortunately they didn't do that so my watching suggested is watch episode 1 through 7 and then skip to 10.

I still recommend the series because you don't want to miss episode 10. Haha!

It's kind of bad, but not the worst.

The only overwhelmingly positive part of this drama is the FL's fun characterization, which Park Shin Hye clearly had a blast bringing to life. In the early episodes this was enough to carry the show, but as the episodes went by the increasingly declining plot with all the asspulls & absolutely insane sequence of events made it very difficult for me to keep enjoying the drama.
Boredom is also a problem, I for one did not enjoy that every other episode had 10 minutes worth of torture scenes/fillers. All the procedural parts were on the boring side as well.

There is not that much romance in this show, but what there is it's really not working for me, the chemistry is not there & the whole romantic plot feels incredibly forced.

As I said before the plot is crazy, but it's not like they suddenly piss off the viewers with something really annoying, it's more of a perpetual eye rolling situation.

As for why is a show that's just barely hitting mediocre so successful? I think similar to Squid Game the audience that is normally watching regular kdramas found all the action scenes & bloodletting a new-ish experience that's still different -in my mind far worse- than now aging American shows of this type. -\_(ツ)_/¯

Mr. Plankton Wow, what a ride! I’m honestly going to miss this drama soooo much

"this is my first time writing a review after watching a drama, usually, I just write short comments "

Wow, what a ride! I’m honestly going to miss this drama soooo much! ? I’m already calling it—*Mr. Plankton* is THE BEST of dramas of 2025

The acting? Amazing! The cast truly nailed their roles, bringing such depth and authenticity to each character. From the start to the very end, their performances were a highlight, making you feel every single emotion alongside them.

The storyline? Absolutely gripping. It’s one of those dramas that you just can’t stop watching. There’s the perfect balance of friendship, family, and love, which kept things fresh and engaging throughout. Every episode kept you on your toes, and I found myself completely invested in the characters' journeys.

I wish I could rate this drama more than just 10/10! Honestly, it’s that good. The connections between the characters felt so real, and the way they navigated through challenges together—whether as friends or family—was incredibly heartwarming. You can't help but root for them the entire time.
only the last minute of the drama. was sad but beautiful

If you’re thinking of starting *Mr. Plankton*, just do it! Trust me, you’ll enjoy every bit of it. It’s one of those shows that you just have to experience for yourself.

Gong Yoo and Namkoong Min in the same frame, but bellowing all over the place

Total soap opera ca 2006. Good character-driven script, broken and blended family theme with an obsessed incestuous stepbrother/half brother tormenting the FL. 2 surviving families, 5 siblings. The ML, adopted, is without a blood tie.

Reasons to watch: Namkoong Min, Gong Yoo, the streets of Seoul still modest and fresh in '06, a great escapist ocean theme -- deep saturated blues and greens, an aquarium workplace, mostly shot on sunny days in Seoul and partly in Sydney. NKM and GY are in their 20s, fluffy-haired, with widelegged pants draped over the arches of their shoes.

Reason not to watch: Korean male-bellowing to obtain control of a conversation is omnipresent, not confined as now to peripheral characters in dramas, but even between the leads(!), and no one seems to notice. The wrist-grabbing and dragging is pretty awful too.

I have read that My Girl in 2005 was a watershed in the depiction of strong independent FLs. I think that in MG the Hong sisters also reduced the amount of corrosive manipulation by the MLs as well, at least that is what I infer when I watch this show in which the MLs are not so restrained.

The so-called post '05 "stronger" FL still struggles, from 2006 through now in 2024, to find a space in which she can actually have agency and where her efforts are recognized and respected.

So often what a script represents is a space in which what the FL wants to say is completely delegitimized, so much so that she subsides in tearful confusion over and over again, silently. Her only freedom is to say no, or to refuse to make choices which are forced upon her.

In this show and in My Girl the FLs actually speak in a reflective manner, and they freeze only in order to have time to think. How did it become ok for so many heroines after this to suffer silently? or to talk incessantly as a form of avoiding having to speak sincerely?
