a good revenge story
having a second chance to change your path and your life choices, and for the better. how amazing it will be if we all can do that right? with realistic situations, friends like Soo Min do exist in real life and it can be less severe but still..while yes they shoudnt be called a friend but you know there is those type of people who are close to you pretending that they care about you but they are just jealous and wanting to drain your happiness, the plot is interesting, and i loved the chemistry btw the mls, the only thing i disliked is the appearance of O Yu Ra, her character was not only so annoying but the acting was poor and her appearance made the show wilder (about the events) but thankfully its just the few last eps, in general i loved itWas this review helpful to you?
From the cinematography to the actors, everything was a "yes" for me.
"Moonlight Chicken" is currently my favorite show. From the cinematography to the actors, everything was a "yes" for me.I saw a lot of people mentioning how Heart and Ming steal the show—a comment I can understand but definitely don't agree with (though I respect their point of view, of course).
That said, I think one thing that might not be to everyone's liking is that the series takes its time. Many facets of everyday life are covered; it feels like I was living with them. It’s a show that reflects the daily lives of a large proportion of viewers and is not fast-paced as a result.
I'm not someone with a lot of experience in love, yet I was still deeply touched by the different aspects of relationships portrayed by P'Aof and the actors, to the point where I lost count of how many times I cried as if I myself had experienced these situations. It was so realistic and refreshing to see being gay in one's thirties or forties portrayed on screen, especially as a poor character. Earth did an amazing job, as did Mix; it was pleasant and interesting to see their relationship evolve as they learned to let go of past relationships to be able to move forward.
Ming and Heart were the cutest part of the show, with an adorable dynamic. I loved how everyone in the series became more mature by the end, not just the young characters.
First and Khaotung did amazing as well. I felt so bad for Alan throughout the show. I understood everyone's position and way of thinking, which made the confrontation scenes even more relevant. Gaipa was a ray of sunshine who made me ugly-cry as if I was the one in pain. Not to mention the beautiful color palette the series uses !
In conclusion: I love MC !

one of the best kdramas
this is one of the best kdramas for real, the urge to bing watch was high, it has been ages since i have done any review but i thought a show like this needs reviews, first the story is really interesting it kept me excited to check what will happen in the next eps, the only thing id say i was not interested in is the romance part, but it does make sense why its included ,because love is the reason why things took different path so it had to be included for certain things about the plot , id not say more to avoid spoilersi also loved the ending and found it interesting, tbh i think this role really suit Park Shin Hye very well, it feels like the show is made for her and this is her best drama

Watch it if you like wasting your time
I know you have to have a strong suspension of disbelief when watching k-dramas, but the plot-holes were too much to ignore.1. What was the point of creating and designing multiple traps to get into the vault while on the other side there is just a freaking door with a key? What is the point for the traps, and for whom.
Also the villain could nor enter the vault because he does not have the key to the door? Lmao.
2. Why tf would the villain kill the sister and then go through all the trouble to hire an actor and deepfake shit? Wouldn't it be easier to just keep her alive and use that as a real leverage.
3. In almost all crime dramas there is one guy (usually a college kid) who can hack into everything, but that women seemingly made all the cool gadgets by herself. Tony Stark wants to know her address.
4. The main villain was borderline comical. They made the male lead a bumbling idiot. The acting was subpar, with poorly written lines. Overall seemed like they were on a low budget. There are better dramas to watch in this genre, don't bother.

Episode 10 was fire! Baby!
Watched on GagaOOLala. What was good about the series.
Episode 1 through 7 had a very unique storyline and good tension building. Episode 10 was absolutely fabulous.
What was bad about the series.
The plot twist in episodes 8 and 9 ruined the whole vibe. Its a good interesting storyline. The male leads and supporting cast were super sexy and entertaining. Why ruin it with a stupid unnecessary plot twist.
Episode 10 should have been episode 8 then you could have had two more episodes to explore a wonderful relationship.
Unfortunately they didn't do that so my watching suggested is watch episode 1 through 7 and then skip to 10.
I still recommend the series because you don't want to miss episode 10. Haha!

It's kind of bad, but not the worst.
The only overwhelmingly positive part of this drama is the FL's fun characterization, which Park Shin Hye clearly had a blast bringing to life. In the early episodes this was enough to carry the show, but as the episodes went by the increasingly declining plot with all the asspulls & absolutely insane sequence of events made it very difficult for me to keep enjoying the drama.Boredom is also a problem, I for one did not enjoy that every other episode had 10 minutes worth of torture scenes/fillers. All the procedural parts were on the boring side as well.
There is not that much romance in this show, but what there is it's really not working for me, the chemistry is not there & the whole romantic plot feels incredibly forced.
As I said before the plot is crazy, but it's not like they suddenly piss off the viewers with something really annoying, it's more of a perpetual eye rolling situation.
As for why is a show that's just barely hitting mediocre so successful? I think similar to Squid Game the audience that is normally watching regular kdramas found all the action scenes & bloodletting a new-ish experience that's still different -in my mind far worse- than now aging American shows of this type. -\_(ツ)_/¯

Mr. Plankton Wow, what a ride! I’m honestly going to miss this drama soooo much
"this is my first time writing a review after watching a drama, usually, I just write short comments "
Wow, what a ride! I’m honestly going to miss this drama soooo much! ? I’m already calling it—*Mr. Plankton* is THE BEST of dramas of 2025
The acting? Amazing! The cast truly nailed their roles, bringing such depth and authenticity to each character. From the start to the very end, their performances were a highlight, making you feel every single emotion alongside them.
The storyline? Absolutely gripping. It’s one of those dramas that you just can’t stop watching. There’s the perfect balance of friendship, family, and love, which kept things fresh and engaging throughout. Every episode kept you on your toes, and I found myself completely invested in the characters' journeys.
I wish I could rate this drama more than just 10/10! Honestly, it’s that good. The connections between the characters felt so real, and the way they navigated through challenges together—whether as friends or family—was incredibly heartwarming. You can't help but root for them the entire time.
only the last minute of the drama. was sad but beautiful
If you’re thinking of starting *Mr. Plankton*, just do it! Trust me, you’ll enjoy every bit of it. It’s one of those shows that you just have to experience for yourself.

Gong Yoo and Namkoong Min in the same frame, but bellowing all over the place
Total soap opera ca 2006. Good character-driven script, broken and blended family theme with an obsessed incestuous stepbrother/half brother tormenting the FL. 2 surviving families, 5 siblings. The ML, adopted, is without a blood tie.Reasons to watch: Namkoong Min, Gong Yoo, the streets of Seoul still modest and fresh in '06, a great escapist ocean theme -- deep saturated blues and greens, an aquarium workplace, mostly shot on sunny days in Seoul and partly in Sydney. NKM and GY are in their 20s, fluffy-haired, with widelegged pants draped over the arches of their shoes.
Reason not to watch: Korean male-bellowing to obtain control of a conversation is omnipresent, not confined as now to peripheral characters in dramas, but even between the leads(!), and no one seems to notice. The wrist-grabbing and dragging is pretty awful too.
I have read that My Girl in 2005 was a watershed in the depiction of strong independent FLs. I think that in MG the Hong sisters also reduced the amount of corrosive manipulation by the MLs as well, at least that is what I infer when I watch this show in which the MLs are not so restrained.
The so-called post '05 "stronger" FL still struggles, from 2006 through now in 2024, to find a space in which she can actually have agency and where her efforts are recognized and respected.
So often what a script represents is a space in which what the FL wants to say is completely delegitimized, so much so that she subsides in tearful confusion over and over again, silently. Her only freedom is to say no, or to refuse to make choices which are forced upon her.
In this show and in My Girl the FLs actually speak in a reflective manner, and they freeze only in order to have time to think. How did it become ok for so many heroines after this to suffer silently? or to talk incessantly as a form of avoiding having to speak sincerely?

A series where I lived through their Journey
I thoroughly enjoyed this series—it felt as though I was truly a part of their lives. Our Days is one of those rare shows that you just don’t want to stop watching. It invites you to simply observe as the characters live their lives, and I found myself fully immersed in their journey.I laughed when they laughed, cried when they cried, and felt deeply connected to their experiences. Watching their story unfold was both heartwarming and bittersweet, and I’m grateful to have been part of it, even as a viewer.
A heartfelt thank you to the actors and production team for bringing this beautiful series to life. It’s a masterpiece that reminds us of the joys, struggles, and hope that make life meaningful. I, too, hope that, like their days, my days will have its own happy ending.
I fully recommend this drama to anyone who wants to watch.

ripping out my heart and leaving me to bleed out
this was really fun and really fucking depressing at the same time. it's not like i wanted to be alive anyway.the leads had incredible chemistry and when i say incredible i mean INCREDIBLE. i fully believe that had they chosen anyone else, it wouldn't have worked as well; many of the scenes seemed to me like they were bts they included anyway, so it just looked really natural. also she was so cute and he was so hot and they made an incredible visual feast.
he was kind of a red flag at the beginning (he literally kidnaps her), but luckily for him i'm colorblind

This is my kind of cinema. A friend in NYC in the 70s said that the only signs of nature in the city are the human beings; in this show I feel as if the intimate architecture of these tall buildings are the forest glades and hills where the human denizens spend their days and nights.
Super interesting topic of divorce with lots of relationship to wonder over. Adore it so far. Am pretty sure I will feel the same at the end so why wait to recommend? Watch this! You will have a good time!
Added 22/09: The script was truly excellent. You could feel that tightening of the heart and then its slow release over and over again. Heart and intellect were consistently engaged in tandem. Super-talented writer.
ps i stubbornly classify ep 5 as a dream sequence; why else would the broad highway end up as a nightmare trek up a mountain path only to find the case to be an illusion and a dream of lifelong love to be real?

Started good...finished on level between okay and mehh
The start was promising. The datting app? Good idea.Intership was interesting idea too....but maybe they could give them space to show us how they are learning the job. So they wouldnt have to ask somebody else to do 3D for them. Show us more how such a company works. Maybe more company and relationship dramas.
What I absolutly hated was that dream part. Usually Im up for such a things (Until we meet again, Sign) but this was unnecessary side plotwist? They could have just end it with showing a Suns face and let it be like there were destinied but not actually say it. Whole this story part was like "wtf? I though its kinda office romance whats that doing here?"
The best thing was cast. But I must say I was switching sides on my favorite ship here. Ofc I started loving Sam and Yot...but after one of the best scenes (mom scene) it lost the spark for me? Like they could have let Yot being anrgy atleast for one episode instead of trying to put bit of fantady into series. Then my favorite couple and characters became Chan and Juldis...because they are such a dorks and I cant imagine to hate them...okay maybe in 1 episode...but shhh

a ghost story in a shopping mall -- what's not to like?
The Hong Sisters' 9th script, standard length -- 16 eps at +- 1hr ea.A good drama from an emotional standpoint if you can hang in there for the first few episodes. A proper Chaebol/CEO story combined with ghosts in a shopping mall (sounds good doesn't it?) and a disheveled psychic who is utterly terrorized by said ghosts. Gong Hyo Jin is creepier than the ghosts to start off with, and the CEO constantly saves her even though he wants nothing to do with her. Do not watch this just after watching The Greatest Love -- this pairing only superficially resembles those fabulous characters.
The script and soundtrack are more powerfully romantically affecting than Gong Hyo Jin's admitted acting skill and the charm of Jo Si Seob (he went onto success as a romantic lead after this). The revelations of their slow and prickly romance are fueled by another of those complicated structures of allusion and jokes which the HS can produce, and which are frustrating to guess at from the subtitles.
A total guess on my part, but most of the subtitles of MSappear to be so literal (i.e.close to the meanings of individual words in Korean) that I think the translators decided to try to give a taste of the verbal humor and play in that way, throwing caution and pronouns to the winds.
Physical touch/sexual attraction and the psychic invisible phenomena are the concepts which are constantly played with (the two words are"sound-alikes" in Korean, hehe). The pair discusses invisibility as part of selfishness -- she was so needy she couldn't "see" him...he is stuck in a mirroring past experience and couldnt see her real self.
The title Masters Sun and her name Tae (means sun) refer to another set of metaphors -- she is a shining light (sun) to ghosts in their world, so they flock to her like moths, but in the outer world she fears she is a darker light.
This attraction of total opposites is compared to a children's fable or book about a wolf and a goat. It sounds like when in Aesop the lamb tries to escape through fancy talk but the wolf cuts in with realpolitick and eats her/him, enough so that the viewer is quite worried about how it will all end.
ps. The CEO calls Seo inguk charater "Candy Kang" with great relish. It looks like a loosely attached Korean POV reference to Seo In Guk's rap stylistics at the beginning of his career. I cant read whether the HS wanted to characterize the CEO as sophisticated (or ignorant as it would be from a US POV). It may just have made cinematic sense to joke around about a truly terrifying young male black ghost trope common in a certain subgenre of hiphop, an image derived from a film/novel of the 80s/90s (look at yourself in the mirror and call the CANDYMAN 5x and he will appear!

A must watch
I've always wondered why the cdramas here are rated less than they deserve. This is my first time leaving a review on this website. Smile Code deserves recognition and a higher rating. I mean what can't you love about this drama? Their chemistry alone deserves 10/10 and that for me is the most important thing when watching a drama. Another plus is the cinematography! Every episode seems like straight out of a movie scene. Was this review helpful to you?
This first kiss is both wonderful and hilarious
Thank you to Director Lim Hyun Hee and to Writer Lee Shin Won for this lovely, funny show. !Fighting! My reactions: (E1-2) I am so happy! Laughing like a nutcase. This looks like it is going to be good. (E3-4) Great, great first kiss. Completely bananas long-haired lover! Nam Shi An bias. Main romance gets sunny cool house scenes, heart-wrenching-already second romance gets yellow streetlight in darkened backstreets. (E5-6) (holding myself back from spoilers) A lesbian bestie, smiles, tears, a seriously heart-fluttering hug and a heartbreaking embrace. Oh that ominous fitbit. (E7-8) Ouch, very very PG. Sweet as honey.
Some commentators seem puzzled -- I think because the show at the very last minute loses its surreal edge and comes down to earth (a very nice earth) with a tiny thud. I still go with 10stars for quality, cinematic intelligence, art, and for Nam Si An ripping up any official documents within reach (adorably).
This is standard kdrama sequence in mini-mini form (8 eps at 30 mins ea.), all the best bits condensed. Several annoying loose ends/teasers for poss. sequel. Confession as the main issue, and its relation to personal growth.
If immature behavior is a topic I will grab the chance to say that I think the young guy/young girl/cute kid/charley-chaplin comedy characters work in Jungian terms, igniting psychological needs or functions in us, the spectators. In this comedy the childish terrors of our doll-like protagonist Jin Woo make us laugh as he ineffectually tries to stop the no-boundaries Id-representing Gi Seop from entering his house. [As Jade hinted] in BL these men will blossom quickly into true lovers, like flowers in a desert spring. They enable us to remember/compare/hope for our own spring and gain emotional strength.
Maybe that R rating is because there is a lesbian character. Ooh so scary.
