The Legend of Warriors Reflects the Spirit of Soul Land Anime/Donghua
TLOW is the live-action adaptation of Soul Land (Douluo Dalu), and it stays true to the essence of the original story. This is a wonderful development for anime fans, as it preserves the original themes, character development, and world-building. By staying faithful to the source material, the adaptation captures the hearts of both long-time fans and newcomers alike. This faithfulness not only honors the original creator's vision but also deeply resonates with those who have closely followed the story. The Legend of Warriors has done an excellent job with its casting, selecting actors who suit the iconic characters of Soul Land. As an anime fan, I’m enjoying this live-action adaptation. For those new to anime, I hope the series sparks their interest in exploring the original anime. While it’s challenging for any live-action adaptation to fully capture the depth and intricacies of its source material, The Legend of Warriors has managed to convey the story and spirit of Soul Land.
I'm really happy that the creators of The Legend of Warriors stayed true to the original plot and brought to life a live-action version of an anime I love. While it isn’t perfect, it’s understandable, considering the Soul Land anime spans 263 episodes, whereas the live-action drama is condensed into just 38 episodes.
In contrast to the previous adaptation, the Douluo Continent (DC) adaptation deviates significantly from the original story. It is not a true adaptation of Soul Land but rather a story loosely inspired by it, using the characters while making considerable changes to the plot. Fans who enjoy DC can still appreciate it as a separate work, but it’s best to view it independently from the original Soul Land and TLOW.
I really recommend this drama especially for donghua/anime lover like me.

fiery chemistry should be ending in a decent way!!
this drama is a mix of feelings that sometimes get so excited when seeing leads together with such marvelous chemistry and another time feeling losing interest with many breakups and unneeded introducing many yumi's cells...yumi is a girl that went through a lot of breakups in her life and didn't lived any successful relationship with her exs, she became insecure and her feelings like a dead body and going in a coma status that she didn't wanted to open her heart and giving herself another chance after the first breakups with woong...
the blossoming part of her life was when she started to realize that her feelings are mutual with babi after he was the one who confessed and chasing her in the first so some of uncomfortable environment when meeting at work started to grow as she dumped him in the period of her first breakups but she made sure when retrieving her old feelings that needed a true love to be healed so that was one of the most favorite moments when asking him back to date...
the cells of yumi portraying all the part of mind and heart of body considered so cute and original idea to show what was going on inside yumi's thoughts and feelings but I think there was so unneeded parts of the drama that are added just to feel the emptiness to make 14 episodes...
the first half of the story before the first breakup made me sinking and drowning in the charm of that sweet relationship and fantastic chemistry that I rarely could see anything like that and I would consider that yumi and babi are one of the most favorite couples of korean dramas but this excitement felt went downward when that intern of the company babi is working as manager just to ruin all these beautiful moments of leads lived together...
it was so bad how babi had a heart swayed when da eun entered his life so suddenly and really hated her the most pretending to be a sweet girl and wanted to slap her when she wondered in front of yumi that if she herself the reason behind babi moving from his home!!!! babi shouldn't being swooned with that intern when having yumi in his life cause she doesn't deserving any shock in her second relationship with babi!!!
the first breakup was so logically to happen when yumi faced him about if da eun being the real reason for him to move away as she living in the same neighborhood as him and shamelessly was right he did it... I liked the moment how the leads reunited at the coffee shop just to make yumi realizing that she was lying when he asked her about being allright but he ignited in her that flame of true love to be again together...
talking about the second breakup, yumi was so wrong to being apart from him as babi was so honest and didn't communicate with that intern!! it was da eun who called him unconsciously drunken with her friends!!! yumi should had been more logical and not breaking up with him cause she was knowing the fact that he cut ties with da eun but still for that feeling of being uncomfortable the story ended in this bad way of making her the successful writer and still opening her heart for meeting a new person in her life!!! the ending was unpleasant for me so deserving 7.5 for me!!
the chemistry of leads is so outstanding and amazing by showing a realistic and high performance in acting!! such a shame to make this disappointing ending!!
I would give it 9 if the end was in favor of leads but it is 7.5 for me cause can't ignoring the fiery chemistry of yumi and babi that excelled over the one of yumi and woong!!
I can't consider it a satisfying ending just making her successful in her professional life as writer...
I think the show would have been too more summarized to 10 to 12 episodes so easily so one of the reasons for me lowering the rating of this drama...

worth it?
This is a very good series! And i would reccommend peopl to go watch it! However, i do have to say that my expectations weren't fully satisfied (but are they ever?) because i saw sooo many good things about this i kind of went in with very high expectations about the game aspect of the series.Short version of Things I liked:
- Cinematography/Production
- Acting
- Music score
- Story
Cinematography/Production:
The production value is unlike any other series I've seen, with a lot of long shots that create 'calm scenes' that contribute to the world building and really help immerse the viewer, instead of advancing the plot.
I especially love/hate how alone they make Cha Yeon Woo look in all his solo shots. *sobs* it's so masterfully done that it made my heart ache everytime he was in that kind of scene, just utterly alone...
You could really see how every shot was taken with care and precision to make it really feel as if you're in a game that at the same time is not just a 2D simulation, but for the characters is very real.
The camerawork, lighting and directing was so great, it really made me feel a lot!
I can't believe that at the end when they reveal tae myun-ha's memories how alone he looks instead of cha yeon woo...the parallels??? insane. they really hurt me :,)
Acting: I think the cast was great at conveying the mood and emotions. it's been a while since i was really moved by a dramaseries...and oh brother...*sobs*
The small ensemble cast also did great. They really fit their charactertypes too
I only wish they'd given cha woong ki a different haircut.
Music score: I think this is also one of the things that can help immerse a viewer into the world. Not every scene needs background music to show what's happening! For me this was also part of the 'calm scenes' and world building.
Story:
The story is a classic Isekai story except with a modern setting of a videogame instead of a romance novel. Nevertheless, it was executed very well.
I believe they could've leaned in more to the existential crisis part because I think they could've pulled it off well but Isekais rarely do that so I don't really mind but there were a lot of unanswered questions. there's also the fact that there is mentally a large age gap between the two male leads. the ending did feel a bit rushed and too quickly resolved but alas, there were only 8 eps of runtime so i understand. the past life of tae myun-ha was a sudden twist.. i didnt mind it too much but i can see how it can bother some people and also from a storytelling perspective it doesnt really make sense so i did deduct some points for that. i kind of wish that we could've seen more of the video game world (how is it an exact 1-on-1 of tae myun-ha's life (complete with granny & mother)) and more NPC interactions would've been fun i think.

another kdrama with characters who have potential to be great but falls into the generic ways
the synopsis and the first few episodes really made me excited. a girl boss who puts up a strong front and shields herself but not letting her emotions out and a sensitive guy who protects himself by keeping people at a distance. would make a great story right? but they just made this into a generic romcom
they fell in love too quickly without any obstacles. it would have been satisfying to see the ml wanting to connect with the fl and him being faced with the obstacle of not able to help her emotionally. these things did happen in the show but not as a heavy point in the plot. the writers did the easiest thing by making her grandma pass away, that just simply gave away a emotional opening. it felt too easy. and they started saying i love you way too quickly for me. it felt like 2 days after they were together they were in love.
even the second couple too, just jumping into marriage??? that too when the guy has so much trauma and ptsd???? bro should understand that a marriage will not wipe his problems away, he should try some therapy. they too had the potential to be great but the writers were lazy. i wonder if this has something to do with the situation in korea, with people not getting married.
the villagers and workers were supposed to be an important part to the story and be the comedic relief but i was not able to connect with them so everything relating to them was boring. i didn't find this series funny at all.
they also slightly over-did his sensitivity. wdym he knows the delivery man is sent by the enemy to swap the bottle because he is sensitive. i had to check whether this was a fantasy series cause they way they were showing his sensitivity u would think he had a superpower to read people's minds.
i don't think romcom dramas are for me. was very interested in this initially but after the couple got together it quickly became boring

life changer
never been a person to give out reviews but this deserves the review i saw gaya se pelikula i was like 17 im now 20 writing this because bl really put a major impact on me because when i was 17 my mindset was different because i was dealing with certain members of the lgbt community that were degrading others for their own reasons it was my spiritual awakening almost to understand love is never going to be perfect but love is also pure and precious, it showed me how to really love not only myself but know how to love and taught me things about the real world like people can change peoplecan grow and learn and to never let your element be changed to have a open and positive heart and mindset this bl and it really touched me because going back what i said love is not perfect but love is pure sometimes it can be right person wrong time, wrong person right time love keeps the connection alive but this bl may have been the best lgbt representation ever made it provides a lot of life lessons and quotes that are very valuable

They can do a lot better.
The things I am going to say may offend some viewers, so SORRY!!!NEGATIVE
1. the story could be a lot better
2. The guy at first wants her dead. god, this is highly absurd
3. Too much negativity—just tooooo much. The Villane came at the 2nd episode and scammed till the end.And there is too much screentime of the villane duo, which, as a viewer, I dont want to see
4. The happy moments are short lived, and as a viewer, you will be in a fear that something bad will happen. You cannot watch in peace; the ending is also the last ending monolog is unrequired and instead they could show their marriage affter all of this The fans atleast deserve this so ending is not satisfying.
5. The FL character is somewhere not impactful and just driven by others too much and highly self-centered. She somewhere too much occupied her own problems and hardly thought about ML, her business, her ex coming back, her illness, her family, etc. The story always occupies those things, and the boy just suffers. Somewhere she allowed many things that she should not do with the villain even if she is mad, like holding her, going under an umbrella, and drinking with her ex when the meeting is not happening. Anything that happened, she ran towards him to make the ML feel bad. After her oparation, he only believed in him, not anyone, and she was never sorry about this to ML. So she hardly thought logically and always doubted the ML, from fraud to cheating and accusing. She also very little cared about her brother.
6. The side characters are just useless somewhere; they are not able to do anything. The friend and the ML family have done much more here, and his friend literally does everything. Here, many characters are just carried through the show and nothing but weight in the show.
7. The brother and his wife story is very odd and frustrating. She cheated him with her ex and told him that he was not her child's father—that's a big blow—and flown away and got beaten, came back, and got accepted without asking any questions—I mean, is it a joke? Yes, she is regretful, but still, at least make her pay for her dids. Some other day, if she thought she would do those again, who knows? On the other hand, they show that she somewhere loves him, like in childhood, the doll he gave; the first time she saw him after a long time; then I can understand that she has to do those things somewhere out of willingness at first and in a situation in later stages. But if you truly love him, you cannot cheat him. I mean, cheating is somewhere odd and absurd; again, somewhere the story lags. Who is his ex, and why was he chasing what happened at then? nothing said.
8. They are big businessmen but fail to pick such easy scams, and in spite of telling them they didn't even bother to listen to him making her the legal guardian. those are some rookie mistakes
9. One thing is this show is a show of unsatisfying endings: brother and his wife, the ML and the FL, villanes, and many more.
10. The show is very unstable in nature The FL and ML relationship is highly unstable in nature; at moments they are good, and the next day they are in a misunderstanding situation falling apart that is not pleasing to see.
11. The show seems to be in a time span of around six to ten months, and there isn't any good character development there. The brother-sister relationship is not like that in any way.
POSITIVE
1. The biggest positive thing is the acting In spite of the plot hole and the story lines, the acting is what makes this show some where special I like everybody acting the ML and the FL and many more.
2. The screen chemistry of them is great; they just suited with each other; there caring moments at the middel are good. and somewhere holds the show.
3. The caring and good nature of the villagers are very good to see.
4. The detectives and friends are good, and they are only countable characters.
5. In the end, the regret scene of the FL—I mean, it is not good to see, but boy suffers a lot, so this much is tolerable and this shows how much she cares for him now.
6. One thing I must say that the ahow has done is they constantly did interaction between the ML and the FL, which is as a viewer, you definitely wanna see the interaction may be bad or good but wanna see their interaction as a viewer, they are not separated for too long like may other those kinds of shows generally show, which I really love about this show.
Now you may ask, if there are so many negatives and small positives there, then why is the show so popular?
because this show somehow hit the typicalness that many want to see, let me line them up
- A love story.
- A rich girl CEO and the poor (relatively) boy from the village.
- The boy works in her company.
- The boy lives with in-laws.
- The In laws always torment and demean him, but he is good and bearing everything for her.
- The ex of the FL came back and caused a problem.
- The ML is telling her not to entertain her ex, but she is constantly ignoring him and doing her things.
- After all the humiliation, he is there because he loves her.
- Broken a car glass for her love.
- The FL is constantly hurting the ML, but he is enduring everything silently.
- He got into an accident, twice got bitten (one time he almost died), one time got shot and for her and many more and still has not left her.
- The girl forgets everything and thinks of him as a stranger, but still he was around her.
So moreover, the ML bears all things mentally and physically and bears all of her tantrums and still loves her. That's somewhere the large majority of viewers want to see; that's why it is so famous. But they could change the name to "king of tears." No wait, "queen of tears" is an ideal name because the only thing she has done in this drama is cry.

tiring, endless accusations, but acting was great
a series of mysterious, unsolved murders in a small town where the killers cut off the fingers of the victims? just right up my alley. i think the mystery was well-developed.at the beginning, i found Lee Dong Shik very hard to read—i couldn’t tell what his intentions were, why he did what he did. he really did look crazy to me. but, this was explained at the end of the series, and i guess he did what he thought was best in his situation, even when it made people questioning his actions.
this series contains endless accusations, which gets tiring as the story goes. since the beginning, the murder investigations from 20 years ago already started out wrong. it was kinda surprising to know that that many people were involved in tempering evidence and covering up the murders. despite the tiring and endless accusations, it was interesting to see how a tight-knit group in a small town started to suspect one another, and later, worked together to catch the killers. speaking of teamwork, i loved it when Lee Dong Shik and Han Ju Won worked together. they were unstoppable!
there is one character that i couldn’t stand, and that person is Park Jeong Je’s mother. she wanted to have her ways and keep her son safe. she is the type of mother who will do anything for her son, even when her son is in the wrongs. unbearably annoying, even more so than the antagonists in this series.
anyway, the acting in this series was superb.

Same old, same old
It,s the same old drama about a girl and a boy. Same old storyline about a girl and a boy falling in love. The actor and actress were great at acting and it did not feel like it’s bad. however, the storyline is too predictable and there is nothing new. Just kept watching it to make sure i finished the drama but 5ere was nothing pulling me to make it enjoyable. There was no plot twist or anything new. It’s the sMe thing that has been played over and over. But just because the story line is the same doesn’t mean it deserve a bad review. The cast did their best and made in a nice show to watch. Was this review helpful to you?

The rating I am giving is only because of the chemistry between the leads.Sorry for my long document but watching the series more than 1 time and every time I feel worse from the behavior of JIEON and SEOLRI, I avoid watching from 1-9 because the anger grows and those who wrote the series should explain(because the series is still watched now) for the way the story is progressing maybe they thought of a different plot but changed it later. 1) JIEON is shown to be a moral person while he himself betrays his wife who was his great love, is enough for him to feel good after the crisis in their relationship and creates an affair with another woman without respect for her, the scene of his wife in the rain crying is shocking while he is with the other and making love. His look at the little whore is shown in the first episodes to be the same loving look he has in the following episodes towards his wife, how come he says afterwards that he only loved his wife. I have read comments and I agree that they have not shown us at all what the relationship between JIEON and SEOLRI was like in America while in the first episodes they show us that there is a erotik relationship between them when they return it does not show them being close but at the same time thinking about marriage (so in America there was no love affair or not which is not possible since they already had) but the author tries to forget what he had shown in the first episodes. When he came back his thought was not to find out what has happened but to continue his life with SEOLRI , he started thinking about his wife only when he saw her with someone else and became jealous. For the DNA confirmation it could have been done earlier since her mother was also alive. They make him mourn her death while he didn't want to see her again, as he said, and it doesn't make sense why they hid it after he had moved on in life. I also wanted an answer when SEOLRI tells him that she dumped him in order to get revenge on his wife if he realized that it was a game for her to make his wife hurt (his look doesn't show it). He blamed his wife for changing. , her change hadn't happened in a day, what did he do for so long because he didn't protect her, he didn't talk to her but maybe he was comfortable with the situation so he wouldn't be bothered by his father. In general, he was a selfish person who only looked out for how he would feel better and got angry when things didn't go his way. 2)HAE GANG the biggest victim of the case was betrayed by her husband and her husband's family. They show when the first memories came she was in pain since she knew from the beginning that SEOLRI had left with JIEON who was married (she was told that at the house she was staying at). They even make her apologize to SEOLRI for coming between the couple in their crisis and leaving her to die on the street. When she found her memory in the plot of the series they make her quickly move past her rage against her husband and that she wanted him back, he had to feel the pain you had caused her and see her hugging and kissing the other man like he showed off with the other. I can't understand that she wanted to protect him and not find out what his family has done since he himself knew what they could do and the wealth where her husband's family had made came from her father and did not belong to them. She deserved a better man. As far as her behavior at the beginning is justified, the movements of a cheated wife are unpredictable, and when she has been betrayed by the man you have gone through so many difficulties and he said that she was his great love but he also shows her on her knees begging the porn.. 3) SEOLRI a calculating person , her love an obsession towards the man. They don't make her apologize for doing so much to HAE GANG she came between the couple in a crisis to get revenge on her, left her to die on the street and stuff. The whore benefited from this relationship, she began to live better as his mistress, her career progressed and since she herself admitted that he is not in love with her so she persisted because she did not want to give up all the privileges that came with being married to the man this.
Also what a void ending to show HAE GANG and SEOLRI meeting and talking as if they were old acquaintances this is done in the realm of fantasy. I would like to write and ask a lot, but I don't want to get tired.

Waste of time
This k drama is one of the worst kdramas I've ever watched. This show has no proper storyline. Kim soo hyun cries a lot. She cheated on her boyfriend by kissing the ml and acted like a victim. Even, the ml's character is super boring😑.So, a short summary is that don't waste your time on this useless and brainless show

Good story, bad acting
I have watched the first 2 instalments of the univerkada series and I liked them both mostly because of their plots that took me back to my wattpad era. The highschool/ college love, something going wrong, separating because of it only to find their way back to each other cooks up a very nice story. It's sweet and light to watch why is why I love stories like these.while the story is good overall, the plot didn't deal properly with how ely handled her grief. Her father was violent and abusive and he is shown as the bad guy, rightfully so. But her mother had an affair with a married man. from what we know, she is part of the reason that a family broke. i don't understand why she is given such a clean slate at the end. ely constantly saying that her mother was a pure heart etc. etc. seemed like the character just swept all of the mother's mistakes under the rug because she can't handle the idea of a grey personality. a person according to her is either 100% good or 100% bad.
i liked how they didn't fix everything between ely and her dad. this closure was much more realistic. apart from that, when ely talks about the worst thing that happened to her after what her father did, she just says "i had to go to therapy because of you". in my opinion, a very awkward choice of words. the point of even saying the dialogue was to show the impact of her father's actions on her, and the entire impact was just shoved into the dustbin by summarising it with therapy. if someone has an accident, the gravity of the situation is better explained when you say "i fractured my rib and broke my arm" not when you say "i had to go to the doctor". it's almost as if the writer didn't know what might happen to a traumatised person and were too lazy to do any research.
The moments between ely and sevi were very cute and i think that those moments were probably their best acting? because most of the acting sucked. the dialogue delivery was painfully slow. or is that just how rich people talk? idk. every syllable spoken by ely was stretched for some reason. also, the crying was just...awful. there was water all over the face which looked very comical. and as much as i like hearing a character's thoughts, it was so awkward to hear ely's thoughts. it was like reading lines from a script. i preferred sevi's dialogue delivery over ely's but like her, he too doesn't know how to cry properly and his expression for most part of the series was him looking at something/someone with an eyebrow raised.
Overall, the love story is very cute and was the only thing that made me look forward to the episodes. the ost was also great. but everything else is unimpressive if not horrible.

A Mature Storyline
I had not expected , I thought this would be same Thai traditional cheesy BL story but I was wrong . Gmmtv did a great job .Disclaimer - I wrote this review according to my own thoughts . This review may contain spoilers . It will be change according to the upcoming episodes .
Story - Po , a heartbroken soul , was wondering a good job but everytime for being honest he failed at the interview . He recently broke up with his partner ( Earn ) and tried to heal his broken soul . He suddenly got a job at a big entertainment company and he was tasked with documenting a boy group's ( MARS ) final concert before their disbandment . Thame ( the leader of MARS ) about to make a solo debut in South Korea for a misunderstanding with his bandmates .
Impression - A mature and emotional story . The way the actors expressed every details ,is excellent . Thame and Po , both of them were trying to understand their hearts with each other's companion . The cinematography and visuals are top tier . As William is here then the music must be good , yes his beautiful voice stole our heart . The intro was so beautiful , one of the best intro I ever seen .
Overall - Try one episode , you will understand . I am giving 10/10 .
