why? why doing this to yourself? DONT

I have so many bad things to say that i won’t even know where to start it. Okay, in the beginning i was really (like really) excited, this BL have been in my list for a little while and i was really interested in watching it. And at the first episodes it was kinda good? It’s cute to see main couple and their friends interacting but then, i started realizing how ????? confusing it was, like during the 8 episodes i watched i never understood very well what was happening, like it seemed to have various stories and problems happening all at the same time. On episode 7 i was already tired of it, the characters won’t talk about their feelings in a real way you know? like something bad happened and they simply wouldn’t address it in the correct way. Mental health problems seemed like a “””funny””” thing here which is really really bad and annoying. The sex scenes are not bad but not good either because I felt like the actors didn’t have any chemistry with each other and that is extremely painful to watch. About Leon’s love story i couldn’t understand what was happening, like did the boy liked in back or not? Why didn’t they have a happy ending?????? Anyways, until episode 7 i watched it without skipping too much but from 7 till the end i just wanted to end it KSKSKSKSK. I sincerely don’t liked it. The actors aren’t bad, it was just the plot and story.

❗️ FULL RECAP ❗️

Make sure you do that. Nothing will be missed and you can always check it out at the end.

Fiat and Leo finally admit their feelings and decide to become a couple.
As friends 'without benefits' for too long, they don't know how to turn the switch, and that's their first issue. Especially for Leo, who has been treating Fiat more or less like his child. Where do you go from there to XXX-!?! Leo must also overcome his past as a playboy and adopt new habits!

Fiat's actions and character are explained in the plot that underpins this show.
He was traumatized as a child by his mentally ill mother. The love she gave him would be his only love. He would hate everyone and only care about her/himself, or he would suffer. Every time he expressed disagreement, she hurt him. Up until the age of 6, that was his childhood.

In order to protect him, his father obtained a restraining order and had her admitted to a mental hospital. Since his father knew she could never get close to him as long as he lived in his house, he always kept an eye on him. He made sure he knew what he was doing. Also revealed was that Fiat's father remarried due to him crying for his mother when he was a child, believing he needed a mother figure. In other words, he has prioritized him from the beginning.
Sadly, his mother's brainwashing was too deeply ingrained in his mind to undo, so the outcome was the complete opposite! A life of hating his father and all those around him, especially women, defined Fiat's life. Until she showed up at Leo's house to look for him. After moving out of the family house to live with his boyfriend (the love of his life), she came back to claim the place she used to/still believes she owned!

Fiat is seeing his mother for the first time since she disappeared (his father never told him about the abuse his mother did so he assumed she was kicked out & replaced). The first time he glanced at her, he couldn't identify her; however, as soon as Leo appeared beside him, something in his brain snapped and he recognized her. His mother!
In the days following her appearance, he kept having nightmares and negative thoughts that he could not explain. There was a feeling of unease and fear in his heart. Whenever she appeared in front of him, he would feel bursting pains in his head. His horrific memories were about to surface, and they did.

Eventually, Fiat discovers the truth about his mother's illness, the abuse, and the reason behind his urge to hurt his father and the people around him (most importantly, his hatred of women and almost causing his stepmother to miscarry his sister even before he understood why!). With Leo's help and after facing all that, he mends his relationship with all the parties involved.

-

Secondary characters: Leon & Pob
Soon after they become a couple, Pob gets approved for an overseas volunteer job, so they part ways.

not bad, not great either

*btw i didn't watch tharntype 2 before this, i watched this as a standalone along with that special episode that gave a brief recap of what happened before the show

this is one of those shows that honestly? wasn't very good, but I enjoyed it anyway for some reason. it's not THAT bad to the point where I would call this a trash watch but that's probably what it was for me lmao. i've rewatched this series a few times already

this is a stupid show. it's cringe, corny, and silly even without those over the top sound effects being dabbled in everywhere they can be. basically more of a "turn your brain off and watch" type of show where you watch the leads be cute and smooch until the mandated episode 11 conflict that's probably the most contrived thing you've ever seen lol

tbh i don't think that the sex scenes in this are done....that well? i don't entirely fault JaFirst for this because i think they can do it! i'm not sure what happened behind the scenes but it seems like JaFirst weren't entirely sure of what else to do beyond neck kissing? it gets more distractingly obvious if you rewatch the scenes more than once since the show....really likes to...linger. and drag these scenes out lmao. they really should've just cut away after a minute and leave it up to the imagination

in return though, i do think JaFirst pulls off the awkward sweetness of their characters quite well. i find them cute, even if their characters strike me as more Unreal even more than usual when it comes to these types of shows lol. like the leads do sorta have a little depth to them?? but it's certainly not written that well.....which is this show in a nutshell.

i 100% rated this show based on my personal enjoyment and not on how good it actually is. i also could not tell you for the life of me why i even like it

if you liked this, you're lying

how can you rate this a ten? for what exactly? the worst acting ever coming from the lead who has the most screen time? or the annoying plot that doesn't get better.

the idea of the lead being a playboy and everyone calling him a s word was so weird I felt like I'm watching something really weird. the amount of drama around him was really suffocating to the point that his partner wasn't introduced proberly because there was no time for him

they were constantly cleaning after Fiat's mess all the time.

the only scenes I actually enjoyed was between Fiat's friends, Fiat and Leon , and the steamy scenes between Leo and fiat.

I honestly think everyone liked it because of the chemistry nothing more.

the plot about his mother was stupid as f tbh I really disliked it.

overall it could have been excuted so much better and the plot could have been worked on more instead of being a mess like that.

A TOTAL HONEST OVERALL REVIEW <3

the story was kinda very ridiculous like fiat hooking up with multiple people cause he's crush isnt asking him out or cause he thinks that he doesnt like him back /srs thats nothing but pscycho behavior

hate how sometimes fiat took leo for granted and ikr fiat has gone through many problems nd childhold trauma but still there are rarely about leo's struggles & pain and ig in epi 9 there was a scene were fiat said hurtful things to leo but still i hoped fiat to chase nd get back him but again it was leo :(

LEO ONE OF THE BEST CHARACTER EVER <3

if dramas with alot of skinship is your cup of tea like me then definetly watch it hehe some intimate scenes were very unnessary tho even bc in an video fiat aka first himself said "too many sex scenes" like i dont complain tho lol

really loved the 2nd main couple theres nothing that i dont liked about them and liked all the other supporting characters specially leo's mom loved her relation with fiat nd his sons and the break up of leon nd pob in end was unnecessary lmao but idc as they are giving as a special episode of them

And the most important thing is i didnt got bored at any point ! loved it overall one of my fav bl series ever !!

FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE DECIDING TO WATCH THIS PLEASE DONT BAD REVIEWS CHANGE YOUR DECISION GO AHEAD AND WATCH IT YOU GONNA LOVE IT ♡゙

AS LONG AS THERE'S TRUE LOVE BL IS EVERYTHING

I don't know what kept me from writing a review about this series and I had to rewatch it three consequent times to come to a conclusion if it really deserved my perfect 10 score and in deed I realised it did.

Don't say no the Series isn't your average Thai BL as a majority of these Series only tend to narrate the story of how two people fall in love but shockingly it's tale is about how couples survive long enough.

The Actors are very cute and handsome and you feel the absolute exploitation of their characters while the comedy part of it feels like a cherry on top of the cake. The characters are very deep and not so complicated to understand and there's that wonderful OST that keeps me standing on my toes and singing the chorus every time they go in for a break.

Entirely, the story feels original and it makes this series one of your most realistic BL Dramas where you don't have to get the feeling that a number of events have been exaggerated and the production quality was very high I was so impressed from the beginning by all the personalities of the actor's.

Generally, this series deserves my ten after all because of all feelings there are in the world about love while lacking a definite antagonistic, the smooth flow of events allow me to get a new picture that surviving in love isn't about having only antagonists trying to force lovers apart but also lovers learning to love one another slowly and bearing with each other just as much I'd recommend it for any real BL couples out there as I felt the top notch chemistry of the couples and I realised that love is one of the most wonderful things in life ever made.

It's good but i don't recommend it.

the series is good but i feel like they overused the s3xual activity, as in every single episode.

The actors who played as Fiat & Leo are so good at acting, and i liked it. I hope I see them play a role together again. Also there are some episodes that are so heavy and there are some heavy topics/issues such as gas-lighting, blackmailing and family issues. Overall this series is so bomb i like it very much, i just won't recommend it to someone because they might get traumatized like i did in the first few episodes. :)

The acting is very good.

All of the actors played their parts very, very well.

That said, Leon stole the show. His character was likable, and the actor made the most of it. The actor reminded me quite a bit of Cooper. I could have seen Cooper playing that part.

The story, etc. isn't as bad as some people made it out to be, but again, for me the highlight of this series was the acting. It was far better than most BL series.

There were some heavy topics in the script, but the comic relief was spot-on, too.

I have one question...

WHERE IS MY LEON AND POB SPINOFF?

I hated Fiat in TharnType, which resulted in me picking this up and putting it down probably 4 times. Eventually I finally made it through the first 10 minutes and ended up finishing the show in 2 days! I'm glad I stuck it out.

Some parts were very entertaining, but some of the plot was just not vibing with me. I wanted more from Fiat and Leo tbh. More chemistry. More love. What we got was good, but it could've been great. Based on them two alone I would give this a 7 star, but Pob and Leon make this an 8. I loved them so so much!

Some actors are not good with the crying scenes. I also wish they picked a different cat because the poor cat in this show was panting or scared, which wasn't great to see. It was mostly running away from poor Pob. But the cat story line was so cute and heartbreaking nonetheless.

I am not sure if I would rewatch this, but I will be on thar spinoff like white on rice if they ever start filming it!

Wow.

Sorry for the short headline, I didn't know what to put so I chose that. Anyway, I enjoyed this series. A lot, actually. At first I was nervous because I'd read some reviews that left me concerned but I watched it and was surprised at how good it was. This being a non engineering focused college series was really refreshing. Seriously. I know their are a few non engineer based college thai bl's but they are few and far between. There need to be more. That aside, I really liked this show. I have not(and probably never will) watched Tharntype s1 or 2 so I wasn't familiar with any of the characters in this but that didn't matter really. I enjoyed it just fine with the basic knowledge of Fiat being the villain in Tharntype s2. Speaking of villains, King is a piece of human garbage and should be in jail for the things he did to Fiat. I hate him so much. The girl counterpart sucked too but I forgot her name and she wasn't quite as bad as King. She was garbage but not on his level. As for the couples, I love Leo and Fiat a lot. They were so sweet and supportive, I loved it. I didn't like the fight/breakup because it made no sense with their characters but I can ignore it. I saw someone critique First's acting and I don't get it. I thought he was pretty good. But main couple aside, Leon and Pob were great. I love how respectful and kind Leon is to Pob. He waits for Pob to be ready and even then, he isn't a lustful or pushy guy after the fact. Their ending made me so sad and I wish I could watch the special episode. Side note, Pob's cat dying made me tear up.
Overall, I recommend you watch it but if you are not a fan of s*x scenes, this has quite a few so beware. They aren't gratuitous or anything but they are pretty spicy. Anyway, please watch this show. It is really good.

started and ended pretty bad but everything in the middle...

i'm pretty new to bl and this was my first thai drama. i had no idea this was a sequel to a different series until i read some of the reviews - but i honestly didnt ever feel too lost without it.

PRODUCTION:
there is a lot you have to get used to - i felt like some scenes/shots carried on for too long trying to really make the hour mark for every episode. i feel like you could easily cut it into 45 minutes. this definitely hinders the rewatch ablity for me.

also the audio quality definitely shifts around a lot and sometimes you can tell how limited the soundtrack is. sometimes one second a light hearted song is playing then all the sudden it shifts to a sad one and then goes back and forth throughout the whole scene and it can be distracting. also the overuse of sound effects while they were endearing at sometimes just needed to toned down a bit. but the cinematography sometimes was really beautiful.

STORY/WRITING:
the story started off kinda slow - but after the first two episodes you get kinda used to the editing and you understand more of whats going on. this part is probably where the knowledge of the prequel series would've come in handy for sure. because there are sometimes references to things they dont explain very well... and i was seriously confused how the 2nd episode just starts with them moving in together the cut from the 1st to the 2nd episode just really threw me off.

however once you get pass that i found the story arcs really delightful. i'm a sucker for established relationships and fiat and leo figuring out their relationship was such a nice thing to see - also just the outright acceptence from everyone around them (for the most part - but that doesn't come from a homophobic lense).

like i said earlier - i did understand the context without seeing the prequel. and i felt like they explained the past really well. and how their past affects their actions now. it was very calculated and didnt even use flashbacks that much which i appericated.

when it comes to the ending the miscommunication troupe is not done well. they try to subvert it a little but in the end i felt like they wanted fiat and leo to have this big struggle at the end with their relationship - and to come out stronger in the end. i feel like they could've done it in a better way than this. also i did feel pretty uncomfortable with their makeup speech maybe it was a translation issue and i can see what they were trying to say with leo's issues and fiat's trauma but the way it went about it felt a little toxic when up till this point they were anything but that.

thats why i say the beginning and end were a little rough but everythinng in the middle is really great.

CHARACTERS / ACTING:
i was mixed about fiat's (chalongrat novsamrong) performance in the beginning - and in some minor parts - but overall for playing a really emotionally driven character i think he did really well. i think i am not used to crying being so authentic in tv so it kinda threw me off. i also really related to fiat in ways with mental health and self worth. i know that some people have some issues about the way mental health was handled in this series but i really felt like it was done well in terms of fiat's character and growth.

leo (phachara suansri) was probably the best actor in the series. for a melo character i didnt feel like he wasnt ever emotionless and you could really tell how sincere he was. i honestly kinda wish he had more development then he did but overall i think the stuff we got with him struggling to take care of fiat and dealing with their past.

the two of them together was honestly the best part of the series. their chemistry was truly amazing even in just casual intimacy it all felt so natural. the way just even that leo would look at fiat spoke a ton - i think since it is a buildup and the two have already worked together on the prequel. they really understood their characters and their relationship. their relationship and commitment made this series work.

the side couple leon (smart chisanupong paungmanee) and pob (james pongsapak rachaporn) were good too. however... smart's acting definitely needed some work. i heard someone say something to the effect of "he acts with his jaw" and i think thats pretty much what it was. i feel like he was fine on his own but whenever leon was with other characters i felt like you could really see the difference. esp since james' acting in comparison was really well done. while leon's shift in character kinda came out of nowhere pob's felt more grounded. but the ending just came out of nowhere - it felt kinda out of place.

the rest of the cast was funny and charming with varying levels of acting. i esp liked the wlw couple as minor as they were and the twins. the actress who did fiat's mom was really good (i cant find her name).

overall i really enjoyed this series - i feel like because of the amount of time you spend with the characters (12 hours) compared to over bl you really get an attachment to the characters and their stories. i plan to find more work from a lot of these actors but i dont think ill be picking up the prequel series - not that i dont think it'll be bad i just dont think i need to. and itll be pretty hard for me to watch leo and fiat not be together haha.

Please Stop Yelling At Fiat

Okay so I have a lot of opinions, let me preface this by saying I have not watched TharnType2 (just not interested) and mostly watched this because it was available on Viki and I liked the actors.

The Good:
✅ Good chemistry with both couples
✅ Solid acting
✅ Decent production
✅ Some enjoyable characters

The Bad:
❌Voyeuristic trauma that's poorly resolved
❌ Somewhat thin and unbalanced plot
❌ Frustrating communication

With that said, overall this was fine, but I think with just a little better writing this could have been a much better show.

Regarding what I liked, the acting was solid from all the main cast (although a few moments felt a little over-acted or odd), the presentation was decent, and I liked the characters quite a bit. The supporting cast was fun and had some good moments, I always enjoy it when the characters have actual friends, although I would've liked to see them hang out and talk about anything that wasn't the relationships sometimes. The pacing was pretty solid, even if I didn't love every plot, they didn't get dragged out so long that I got mad.

The main characters have good chemistry and I easily believed that they actually liked each other. When Leo wasn't annoying me I thought he was really sweet, the birthday surprise was a nice touch. Though their relationship isn't perfect and has some slightly concerning undertones, they both seem comfortable and happy with each other and okay with each other's more difficult traits.
Also I loved Fiat and he can do no wrong in my eyes but we'll get to that.

My main plot issues were that sensitive subjects were not handled with appropriate care, and the whole show felt pretty lopsided. Fiat has some pretty distressing plots centering around abuse that has happened to him, and they were not handled well imo. While his family situation was presented as a very serious scenario, everyone got forgiven super quickly so that it could get wrapped up nicely and the actors didn't have to come back. I think things could have been left a little more ambiguous to allow for some more nuance. I'm still so mad at his dad lol, like, you could've protected him without being so awful that he thought you hated him for like 15 years, he should have apologized more. You could allow for some hope that they'll be able to have a positive relationship one day rather than everything being forgiven in an instant.

Speaking of people I'm mad at, Leo did frustrate me a lot. I liked him but he really suffered from perfect ML syndrome and it got grating, especially since he wasn't perfect and everyone acted like he was. He handled a number of serious situations very poorly and it was barely addressed. The whole series gives this impression that Fiat sucks and he needs to become a better person, and while he has made mistakes it really feels super one-sided. Even when he tries to be mature and reasonable he gets pretty much no credit. The scene after the bar made me so angry lmao, I can't believe they let Leo just get away with all of that after Fiat was trying so hard..... I think Fiat should've keyed someone's car but I'm clearly biased, sorry for liking men pretty men that cry a lot.
If the show had focused less on trauma-voyeurism and more on each character's personal issues I think I would have enjoyed it quite a bit more. Give Leo a plot where he's actually called out for being unreasonable or has something in his past he needs to deal with, have someone yell at him for once or let him face Any consequences ever damn......

Overall I'm not mad I watched the whole show, but I don't think I'd rewatch basically any of it. While there are some nice moments, they're too intertwined with a frustrating plot.
