But it is still disappointing...like you have already said.....this is life....
i think i'm still gonna book the week off and keep an eye on last minute deals over the next couple weeks
Yay :) I had another one of those "you know you're learning when..." moments. Recently I began to realize that sometimes I understand things, but I can't remember if it was spoken in English or Japanese. It's been happening to me quite a bit recently :) To me, this means that there is some level of japanese that I've totally internalized to the point that i'm no longer translating (or taking less than a millisecond to translate, hehe). i can't wait to work harder and get better :)
yay :) i can't wait to get to that point. i'm having more and more lightbulb moments while listening to japanese music though. i'm picking up more and more words and parts of sentences
Because of my daily life..I still haven´t really begun to study japanese...really stupid maybe I should´t watch so many Dramas in my free time :D
i know some literacy & history. Some leagues i mostly found thou anime. Im really cracking down on the language. At my school a teacher who thought Japan came back here to teach english. He started our Japanese club this year. but no official classes have been set up. But im expecting it. hopefully
Hi hi Everyone :)

I discovered a new site (again, lol), called Japanese Level Up (http://japaneselevelup.com/). This one is along the lines of All Japanese All the Time. It doesn't teach Japanese, but it presents study approach and introduces tools. I've read a couple of the entries, and I significantly prefer this one to AJAT. I didn't really like the guy from AJAT's persona/writing style. It comes off as very "used car salesman" to me, and many of his later entries are more advertisements than informational.

I really like the walkthrough the Japanese Level up person created. I definitely plan to poke around more :)
i think i have that one bookmarked but never really looked into it too much, guess i probably should lol. i haven't had time to study lately at work :( i did organize all my notes into a binder though and made dividers to keep everything seperate like kana practice sheets, kanji, grammar, vocab, etc.. should be helpful for going through and reviewing notes and stuff.
i just finished my last shift at my former place of employment. i am so happy. no more ranting about stupid decisions made by management and staff, ungrateful children or their parents who are unwilling to change to help their kids. now i can get to focus on my preparations to go to japan. actually i have good news well more good news lol.... i recently found out that i am not the only one in my family obsessed with japan, i have an 18 yrs old cousin who loves the language as well. i recently found him at a coffee shop getting japanese lessons from a japanese peace corp volunteer. i invaded their lesson and they allowed me to join the group (i'm memeber #5). our sensei Hiro was very impressed that i knew janken. lol (thanx arashi) and he said i had adequate skill to survive. :D we have lessons every sunday for 2 hrs. our last lesson was on adjectives and using them in sentences. i'm having fun learning again.
that's so cool boutux. i wish i had someone to study with here, and someone to get proper lessons from

Wow....that´s great :) I will only talk about my great news after I got my birthday present...until then I am still not sure so...^^
today was a holiday and hiro sensei took us to his friends house to learn how to make samurai sandals using strips of cloth and twine. it was awesome. i don't have any pics to show u guys yet when he emails them to me i will upload them for u guys to see. it was really fun tho it was tiring and my muscles ache from the process. i got to display my obsession with arashi by showing off my knowledge of their music by calling out the song titles after only a few notes of the songs and singing along with the music. i'm not sure if they were impressed or freaked but we all had fun with this. it became a guessing game for the 2 japanese oniichans to see if i was right (i won that game lol). there was a lot of japanese speaking, mostly us students asking the japanese oniichans "how do say ---- in japanese." or correcting our incorrect grammar. the topping on the cake of this wonderful day was they cooked us pork and seafood ramen for lunch. it was so oishii i had a second helping. i got to say itadakimasu, umai, and gochisosama for the 1st time in public and not feel weird. oh another thing was they demanded that we slurp our noodles Japanese style and communal eating is no joke, hiro sensei ate out of our bowls of ramen to demonstrate the proper way to slurp. and hiro sensei's friend was nice enough to give each of us (4 students) new chop sticks as parting gifts. today was a great day :D
how cool. i'm so jealous ^_^
finally dove back into my studies a bit today after what 3 weeks? more? yeesh. i keep using the excuse that i want to review my notes before i move forward but i keep forgetting to take my notes to work with me. so i just went ahead and picked up where i left off. finished up te-form and read about potential form ie having the ability to do something as opposed to doing it. pretty easy to conjugate actually.
